Chief Financial Officer
Advisory Board
My name is Meysam Lahijanian, I graduated with a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Isfahan University of Technology. More than 13 years of management experience in various industries, including tile and ceramic industries. I have food industries, ferroalloy industries. I gained work experience according to my studies in the field of human resource management, financial management and in knowledge management and technology transfer. As an entrepreneur, in the past 4 years, I have had the history of setting up a ferrosilica production plant in Iran with an approximate value of 20 million dollars along with a team of investors, and these experiences of the past years in various industries have helped me as a Business developer can bring an attractive business idea to a conclusion by attracting professional investors.
Mr. Seyed Hamed Khodaei was born in 1979. After completing his elementary, middle and high school studies, he was accepted in 1997 in the field of biology majoring in microbiology at Flowerjan Azad University. Hamed graduated from Flowerjan University in 2002 with the 2nd rank. He was accepted in the 2002 master’s entrance exam at Jahrom Azad University and he graduated from this university with the first rank. During his studies, he fully learned several techniques, including the following. Cell Culture Techniques – Neutralization – ELISA – Dot Blot Probe Hybridization – Primer Design – Genome Extraction – PCR – Gel electrophoresis – RNA Extraction – cDNA Synthesis – Real Time PCR – Western blot and blood sampling – all the techniques in the microbiology laboratory and others routine laboratory techniques.
After graduating and finishing his military service in 2008, he started working at the Royan Institute for Biotechnology and now he is working as the executive director of the institute. During these years, he has acquired skills in holding various workshops, symposiums and conferences, purchasing laboratory materials and equipment, human resource management, laboratory management, implementing ISO quality management and ISO OHSAS, etc.
Evan Loster
An individual with an incredibly diverse skill set, Evan is passionate about the power and the promise of cannabinoid-based medicine to help individuals address pain, mood and sleep challenges. He has worked over 6 years in the medical cannabis industry, where he held progressively senior management positions.
Evan enables active patient participation in health care and builds real world evidence to advance the science and development of plant-based medicines. Early in his career, Evan held a variety of roles within the Government of Manitoba’s Protective Services Department where he earned two awards of distinction – the Director’s Commendation and Outstanding Contribution to the Branch.
Dedicated to actively participating in the global community in which he lives, Evan has volunteered in multiple psychiatric (Forensic and Schizophrenic) wards at the Health Sciences Centre and contributed, as a Member of the Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy (CCSDP) Board of Directors, at the 2016 United Nations General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on the world drug problem.
Dr Moein Shayegannia
Currently, I am working on developing a point-of-care diagnostic device for detection of pathogens (viral, bacteria, fungi) using label-free or surface functionalized technique. The detection method is based on surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) techniques. My platforms can also be applied to enhance fluorescence spectroscopy. the platform is also supplemented with advanced machine learning model and real-time data processing.
Currently, this sensing platform has been able to detect biomarkers of cardiovascular disease, Sepsis, and spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. I am investigating to expand the capability of this PoC device to detect plant pathogens within greenhouses.
My PhD thesis included theoretical and experimental investigation of plasmonic grating structures, excitation of surface plasmon resonance on sub-wavelength metallic structure and light matter interactions.
I used Electron Beam Lithography, sputtering deposition, electron beam and thermal evaporation, dry and wet etching techniques to fabricate the nano structures. To characterize the structures, environemtnal-scanning electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, near field scanning optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, surface enhanced Raman scattering, and surface enhanced fluorescence were used.
These nanostructures were used as a sensing platform to detect ultra-low concentration bio-molecular species.
My master thesis included transmission of Jpeg2000 images over wireless channel with unequal power allocations. I used mainly Matlab simulations to assign a power allocation algorithm to the coding passes of an image bit stream. The wireless channel was a frequency selective channel,
Murray Grant
Murray Grant is a passionate, driven professional that is relentless in finding and growing people and businesses. He combines more than 35 years of broad and deep executive Sales, Marketing, Operations and Innovation experience with an innate ability to motivate organizations to “raise the bar”. Without exception, Murray has transformed companies from being “ad hoc” and “difficult to measure” to high performance frameworks that are structured, measureable, accountable, and effective. Equally important is how Murray does this – by building strong friendships that last a life time.
Murray founded MasterKey in 2003, after realizing most others only bring a small piece of the “root cause solution” to the table. He has worked in all key executive positions, from President, to Sales to Operations and Product Development, and has transformed businesses in a number of industries
